ViTA Support Specialist

Position Title: VITA Support Specialist

Status: Non-Exempt, Part-time

Position Overview: The Virtual Interactive Training Agent “VITA” Support Specialist will be learning about managing all aspects of the hardware & software support needs for the VITA System, including installation, activation, and end-user client support. He or she will be expected to learn about diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving all IT needs as related solely to the VITA workstations and programs. He or she will learn about providing technical support to VITA users while maintaining positive customer service standards.

Major Responsibilities:

The ViTA Support Specialist will learn to:

  • Diagnose & resolve VITA related IT support needs for end-user clients
  • Provide guidance for hardware purchase needs for end-user clients
  • Assist with the set-up and install of VITA software and hardware into new client systems
  • Provide IT support to in-house VITA staff as related to VITA software and hardware
  • Remain on the forefront of technology through professional development and educational opportunities
  • Develop recommendations for enhancements to the existing VITA system
  • Maintain customer service standards in all interactions
  • Some travel may be required
  • Other duties as required as part of our team

 

Education & Training:

  • Functional knowledge of computer hardware: RAM, HDD, SSD, Processors, Graphic Cards, Operating Systems, LAN, etc.Network design, implementation, and performance tuning
  • Proficiency in PC performance tuning
  • Help Desk experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and related software, programs
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Skilled in efficient and thorough trouble shooting & resolution

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 1 year of work experience in an I.T. or Customer Service related field
  • A.A. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plusOR
  • Technology Support Certification plus
  • 2 years of work experience in an I.T. or Customer Service related field
